Program Description

The Massage Therapy program is a comprehensive non-credit program that prepares students for a rewarding career in the field. With a total of 585 program hours spread across three modules, the program can be completed in approximately 11 months. While providing in-depth training in various massage techniques and therapeutic practices, students also learn about anatomy, physiology, and business fundamentals related to the industry. It’s important to note that this non-credit program does not offer financial aid options. The total cost for the program is $7,035, which covers all necessary materials and instructional resources. Graduates of the program are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue employment opportunities in spas, wellness centers, or establish their own massage therapy practice.

Degrees & Certificates

After finishing the full program at Kapi‘olani Community College, students will be awarded a University of Hawai`i Certificate of Competence. This achievement grants them eligibility to sit for the Hawai‘i State Board of Massage License Examination, as well as qualify for the Massage and Bodywork License Examination (MBLEx), which is a prerequisite for most states.
