Program Description

The Mākaha Learning Center offers a Solar Program that provides comprehensive knowledge and skills related to photovoltaic (PV) systems. Students will gain an understanding of various components, system architectures, and applications of PV systems, including system analysis, sizing, electrical design, and performance estimation. The course covers module and inverter specifications, mounting methods, and the safe commissioning of grid-direct PV systems. Successful completion of this program fulfills the educational standards of the North American Board of Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) for technicians and satisfies the formal training requirement for Associate level testing.
