Program Description
The Associate of Science degree in nursing at Kapiʻolani Community College prepares students for a career in nursing. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission in Education in Nursing (ACEN). Graduates of the program can take the NCLEX-RN nursing examination to become registered nurses and enter entry-level positions in hospitals, doctor’s offices, or other health-related institutions. The program provides theoretical instruction and clinical application of nursing skills, and graduates are eligible for admission to the fourth year of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs at UH Mānoa and UH Hilo.
