Degrees & Certificates

The Practical Nursing program provides a Certificate of Achievement, requiring 44-46 credits. With a tuition rate of $131 per credit, the total tuition cost for the program falls between $5,764 and $6,026.

Careers

Graduates of the Practical Nursing program have promising career prospects, with opportunities available in long-term care facilities, home health settings, and potentially even in acute/hospital settings due to the demand for practical nurses.

After completing a Practical Nursing program and obtaining their practical nursing licensure, students who are interested can pursue the LPN-RN Transition (ANURS-LPN) program. This program, which requires completion of Kapiʻolani CC LPN-RN Transition prerequisites, can be completed in three semesters and allows Licensed Practical Nurses to transition to become Registered Nurses.
