Program Description

Pharmacy technicians play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by helping with various tasks such as processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and handling payment and insurance matters.

The Pharmacy Technician Program is a comprehensive non-credit program consisting of 305 hours. It is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully pass the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination provided by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), even if they have no prior experience in the field.

Degrees & Certificates

Upon successful completion of the course, including both classroom and externship components, students will be awarded a Certificate of Competence from KCC. Graduates will have the opportunity to take the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination provided by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), and upon passing, they will earn the designation of CPhT, or Certified Pharmacy Technician.
