Program Description
The Massage Therapy program at Hawaiʻi Healing Arts College offers a comprehensive 600-hour certification program. Students learn various massage techniques, body mechanics, hygiene practices, and specialized treatments for diverse populations including athletes and those with traumatic injuries. The intensive program can be completed in approximately 8 months, while the part-time program takes around 11.5 months. The program is approved by the State and National Board of Massage Therapy and is licensed as a vocational school by the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education. Graduates are eligible to apply for licensing exams and certifications, including the Hawaii State Massage Therapy Licensing Exam, the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx), and National Certification through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
