Program Description
The Health Information Technology program at Leeward Community College is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management (CAHIIM) and prepares students to become HIT professionals. Graduates of the program can take the RHIT exam offered by AHIMA for professional certification. This certification is recognized nationwide and demonstrates proficiency in organizing patient records and handling insurance documentation accurately and efficiently.
